Murrlyn, Are you aware that in canada it's not illegal to put your cdg's on a hard drive, according to a few of the guys on other sites. In canada you can get licensing from the canadian govt. for a fee to transfer your originals to hard drive and use them commercially, not so in the US |

That may be true in canada. But Im sure thats on a PER SONG BASIS. SO how much money are u willing to spend in time, fees etc to pay to laod up THOUSANDS of individual songs onto a hard drive. Would seem to be PROHIBITIVELY EXPENSIVE. And Id' be pretty certain it would not give yuo carte blanch to load up unlimited numbers of song. Better to consult a Canadian entertainment attorney. |

In Canada, AVLA is the licenser to be able to copy CDs to harddrive for commercial purposes. You must pay a fee for this right. This, however, DOES NOT extend to CDGs. You still cannot copy CDGs. http://www.avla.ca/licenceinfo/djlicenc ... raokemusic |
