I just went on my own as a KJ and I need to update my mp3's, as I am getting a lot of requests for more current pop and better versions of some of the old standards. I use CompuHost software system. Are there any sites where I can buy karaoke tracks in bulk without having to purchase CD packs?

you can buy SETS... but nothing in bulk like you're talking about.

at least not that I'm aware of.

The hardest thing to have a legit library is it takes time and money to get the cdgs or purchased downloads!

Edit... Once you have a decent CORE set and get the best of each of the years... then put your money you make from your gigs every time into buying more and more discs.

Lonnie has a great system where he puts out a clipboard where customers sign up and tell him what tracks they're looking for! If he gets enough requests, or agrees with them himself, he gets 'em!

But for a starting out kj... karaoke specials at the retailers like karaoke.com and doowop.com are your best friends!

I met doowop.com thru Ebay then started buying direct. I was buying so many at one time they were sending me free "courtey" cd's. They should put an add on KS.

Doowop are great people. I talked to the owner one time when I ordered something; he saw that I was ordering from them for the first time (this was years ago)... I highly recommend them, too, Karyoker. I use karaoke.com a lot as well. Great sales and a great way to affordably build up a library.
