Ok everybody, I can't get everything new, but where is a good place to start, Soundchoice or Chartbuster. I see some of both on E-BAY and CRAIGLIST. One I saw was Chartbuster essential 9. Looked pretty good with a good price compared to Chartbuster's website. Just wanting to spend my money wisely. How can one tell if they're getting whats advertised or maybe a copy. I figured enough of you guys and gals have bought enough to know.

I have both in my library. Either are good. If you buy on eBay, make sure they state they are originals, I've never gotten any copies but have bought several hundred cdg on eBay. Make sure they have good feedback, I won't deal with anyone less than 99.5% or so positive.

I bought both foundations for $400 combined on eBay. If you are patient, you can buy a lot of good music cheap on ebay.

I have gotten copies on Ebay. I asked if they were originals and the seller acted as if they did not know. He/she sold many more of the same CDGS after my purchase, so I beleive they knew what they were doing. Like Ripman said make sure they state they are original. The copies I received play and work fine but I did feel a little cheated. I make copies for myself and they are just as good as the originals. I found the most economical place to buy is Ebay, again like ripman said you have to have patience and wait for what you want to come around at a price you feel is reasonable

From my experience with ebay and cdgs, if you see 40 different listings for auction from the same company, bet your bottom dollar they're copies. Especially if it is a secret auction, and you can't see who else is bidding. They'll start out at a REDICULOUS starting bid of .99, and by the time you win the bid, it's 100.00. That may still look like a deal until you get them and TRY to rip them. That's when you find out the REAL DEAL. Most of the time they can still be played with a GOOD cdg player, but ripping is a different animal. Just my .02.

feedback...use the customer feedback to see what auctions they've done lately. Initially I just did that to check to make certain they were good at their delivery of the products... but the one that sent ME a copy had several of the same ones.

Look for eBay sellers

hip_2_karaoke
texastarat
karaoke_4_u

I've had good luck with these sellers. The discs were brand new and at great prices.

Also look for DooWop.. look for there website or store front. Ive even seen Ace Karaoke on Ebay. They use it to clear out an overstock and sometimes you can get good deals.

I have gotten good deals on sets on EBay--I like Hip2 Karaoke also as they usually have the most Zoom. They have a good price on Sound Choice Foundations. But I have found that on single discs, once you add the shipping they come out even with Express Karaoke and some of the others. Same with Ace. Their 30% off will often be off a higher initial price to begin with and it ends up equaling the regular price at Express. But I go back and forth alot depending on what I'm looking for. Don't think you could beat the Supercore 2008 price of $40 at Ace at the moment.

Leopard is right. One reason I shy away from the Ebay sellers is the ridiculous shipping prices. Sometime they arrive after being charged $5.00 for shipping and the stamp will say $.90. The other reason is I download and burn them myself. This way seems to be a little more economical. Good luck !

texastarat was left negative feedback by me as well. Though to be honest, i think half of buying discs, is a little common sense and a lot of luck.

not so much luck, but to each their own. of ALL the buying I've done on ebay, I've only had four negative experiences, and only one really burned me! For a shocking $45, so I can't complain too much.
